What is The Seed Literary Magazine?

The Seed Literary Magazine is an online literary publication dedicated to poetry, flash fiction, personal essays, photography, and visual art. We exist to publish work in its earliest, most honest form and to create space for emerging and established voices alike.

What types of work do you accept?

We accept submissions in the following categories:

  • Poetry

  • Flash fiction

  • Personal essays

  • Photography

  • Visual artwork

We are especially drawn to work that explores identity, love, grief, faith, transformation, memory, and becoming.

Who can submit?

We welcome submissions from writers and artists at all stages of their creative journey. Emerging creators are encouraged to submit.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit.

Is there a submission fee?

No. Submissions to The Seed Literary Magazine are currently free.

How do I submit my work?

Include your submission and a brief bio (2–3 sentences) in the body of the email or as an attachment.

Who owns the rights to my work after publication?

Contributors retain full rights to their work. By submitting, you grant The Seed Literary Magazine permission to publish your work on our website and digital platforms.

Do you pay contributors?

At this time, we are not able to offer monetary compensation. As the magazine grows, we hope to compensate contributors in the future.

All contributors will receive publication credit and exposure through our platform.

How long does it take to receive a response?

Response times may vary depending on submission volume. We aim to respond within 4–8 weeks.

How often do you publish?

The Seed Literary Magazine publishes periodic volumes. Please join our mailing list or follow us on Instagram for announcements.

Do you accept previously published work?

No. We only accept previously unpublished work, including work that has not been published on personal blogs, websites, or social media.

Do you accept simultaneous submissions?

Yes. We understand that many writers submit their work to multiple publications. If your work is accepted elsewhere, please notify us as soon as possible.
